My Veins are Worn Out

If you talk to any transplant patient, chances are they will tell you their veins are a disaster. The regular population is afraid of needles so they dread going to get shots or blood drawn, despite their veins having absolutely no problems which makes all those actions easier. For someone living with chronic illness or transplant, just trying to draw blood or get an IV going can be an entire event that results in multiple sticks, bruises, blown veins, or infiltrated IV’s.
