Transplant is a Full Time Job

In the last two years before I received my second transplant, my health was a full time job. I was making phone calls to doctors all day long so I would study from the Business School library at Columbia which allowed use of phones. With the pandemic, everything was worse since any time I didn’t spend studying was spent trying to tell doctors what was happening to my body. As a person who was hyperaware of everything happening to my body and understanding what that meant medically, I was on a fast track to burning out.
